This series contains records related to the construction of the Clark Hill Dam on the Savannah River near Augusta, Georgia. Included in the series are construction logbooks, bills of material, storm reports, accident reports, daily construction reports, inspectors' reports, work data reports, aerial photographs, correspondence, seismic charts, invoices, bid abstracts, and work progress charts. There were several contracting companies involved with the dam's construction: Bateson-Stolte; Boyle Construction Company; W.T. Anderson; Cherokee Inc.; Atlantic Dredging; Michael Art Bronze Company; Allstates Inc.; Virginia Steel Company, Tennessee Coal, Iron, and Railroad Company; Chicago Bridge and Iron Company; Logan Diving and Salvage Company; Michael Baker, Jones Core Drilling; Locke Construction Company; and Hardway Contracting Company.
